KANGAROO MATH CONTEST - IRAQ
The International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest originated in France in 1991 and quickly became very popular with students all over the globe. Several years later the International Association "Kangourou Sans Frontières" was founded, which is now responsible for organizing the world-wide event "International Kangaroo Mathematics Contest". Over 6 million students from 108 countries took part in the Contest world-wide and over 15.000 students from Iraq took part in this prestigious competition so far.Any school in Iraq can apply to be an exam center and administer the exam in their premises or students must register in one of the registered centers to do the test. In Iraq and KRI, the competition is organized and represented by the Stirling Schools since 2018 .Math Kangaroo's focuses on improving students' math scores by getting them used to multiple choice system and getting familiar with new strategies for solving word and logic problems. It helps them with critical thinking and gain confidence in the classroom. The competition has various categories based on grade levels and the exam is available in three languages, English, Arabic, and Kurdish (Sorani).
